Am I in labour?
In the last few weeks of your pregnancy it can be sooooo easy to take every twinge as a sign that you’re going to have your baby that night!
And you might... but it also might not be quite time yet.
You grab your bag, get all excited and then... nothing! The twinges disappear.
The “false alarms” (btw, there’s no such thing) can feel a bit disappointing so here are my top tips I share with the people I work with:
Keep yourself nicely distracted - obsessing will only slow things down so try your best to be patient
Get your oxytocin flowing!
Relax - let go of tension and conserve your energy
Listen to your body - you’ll know when it’s time!
Whether it’s tonight or in a few days time - you’re going to meet your baby soon!
